Service dogs mean a lot to their owners. A salute to Conner, who aided his human friend in detecting allergies and assited with seizures. I was very pleased to present this commission as a gift, and recognize his abilities and efforts to improve her quality of life. I appreciate the opportunity to create a memory in honor of a helpful companion, and know he is remembered with great admiration.

This portrait of my hen was created at Paws for Art - Paint your pet, as part of a workshop and live demonstration. I hosted this event at Walker Rehabilitation Group with charitable contributions benefiting Professional Working Dog Services. She was hand drawn and painted in roughly two hours. Guests were provided with a sketched version of their pet on canvas.

This portrait of my cat was created as a live demonstration, with guests participating in a paint-your-pet workshop. He was hand drawn with pencil and completed using acrylic paint. He is a father to four hens, can say hello, yea and no in English. Also, he lets himself outside and enjoys a domesticated-wild life style.

Because life is full of ands in ors, but sometimes we miss them on the vs.
A mixture of perfectly polished stones and soft sands exist at the wind sculpted-coastal edges of Michigan. Starring up the coast and off into the horizon, I lose a sense of land and water. I see and feel the powerful formations of clouds above me. Certainly they will grow as they travel on upward and Eastward, casting rain shadows and carrying the lake inland. In tremendous winds, it can be difficult to hear. The sensory deprivation can liberating. I patiently wait for a fish to bite, completely unable to see the line. Should the moment arise, I'll break for a fresh shore lunch. The simplicity and awe inspiring beauty carries a tremendous breath of freedom.

Yellow Brick Toad
Is the product of a typo; A Typoed creature that became the mascot basis of my Educational methods. Not pictured, Yellow Brick Flying Object, and Yellow Brick Froze. YBT is the center of a story, and an Alien from another world. Crafted of both funny and cheesy food, compacted delicately into rectangular blocks. It's the toad that never stops paving the road for others, homey places and infrastructure. It is a creature of Artistic development and progress, of STEAM Edu.
"The Celestial Gypsy Moth pegs the straight ribbon down, striking a star, whereinby a UFO cascaded to Earth. Geologists and Scientists alike are baffled by the discovery. An Alien Yellow Brick Toad emerges from the UFO. The first colored-brick creature in a land of black and white."

It is with great enthusiasm that I take to new Artistic and Design processes. It is a joy to learn and share innovations and creativity. I began studying and learning Digital Art three years ago. Through much frustration, joy and dedication I have taken my Art to the technical arena. I am happy to have adapted my skillset and teach digital courses, coincidingly with traditional mediums. I use computers, cameras and digital means interchangeably with physical drawings, paintings, sculptures and even music. It is my goal to maintain a constant state of growth in Art & Design.

There is guidance, when needed. I Ask for moments of awe and inspiration and I receive them. With an open view, potential carries on forever.

My continuous need for food is innate. Tremendous hunger can be herd. Plants and animals alike, isn't everything alive? I am fascinated by continuous renewal and the recycling processes at work in this world. It's a dynamic reliance that we share in.

A shift in pressure the winds have changed. They spiral in pastel formations. A moving front and evolving trend that one can live by.
Beauteous and plasmic fields of golden liquid, paydirt and jewel like riches. I treasure the lighting conditions.

Our home is a very special planet. The innovations that we need to transform the way we live are nearly at hand. The affordable and clean energy to drive a developing World, could come from a variety of sources. The Universe is limitless energy and the Earth is alive with electrical and magnetic activity. We have the capactity for incredible and high-efficiency energy generation devices, and we should accept nothing less. Humanity is capable of absolutely amazing feats of ingenuity and we can open the doors to something more accessible, clean and affordable.

“I hope this is the invention that will make war impossible.”
- Nikola Tesla
I imagine Nikola Tesla was a pretty frustrated inventor by the end of his life. Having invented all kinds of electrical devices, AC electric current, wireless transmission devices, and even the radio, he has contributed to our contemporary world in so many ways. I have imagined what the world would be like, had his nearly free variety of energy been furthered and distributed. Instead, we exist within a petro economic system. Not only is it wasteful and consuming natural resources, it is incredibly difficult to mine and transport. Spills can be very dangerous and awful for wildlife. Our entire world relies on the energy we consume in our homes, vehicles, computers, and phones. The food we grow and eat, costs much more because of the amount of energy used to produce and transport it. We pay an incredibly high cost for our reliance on fossil fuels. However, we cannot hastily remove any infrastructure that we depend on. By simply adding new and improved devices and methods, we can out compete and graduate our society towards other more advanced production processes. We will all benefit greatly from a transformation for the better.

Call it anything you'd like. Stare right into it, because the light is aware of it. Ask it for a favor. Thank it from time to time. It illuminates existence but it can hear you too. Light can superfluously move. Immersed or dispersed in a mist and an array of subtly varying conditions, cast shadows reminiscent of a living form scatter like leaves.

Rats are near and dear to my heart. I used to raise them as pets when I was a kid. I had a space grade female rat named Oreo that lived to be 7 years old! She would respond by name, climb my body to rest on my shoulder, could roam freely in the back yard, tightrope walk and hop like a bunny.
I see porcupines as individualized creatures, that are mostly concerned with their own affairs. Defensive by nature and not typically agressive or predatory. I admire their abilities.

It is with some of the most acute vision that a Hawk takes to the sky. Flying so far and wide with an intuitive spirit as a guiding internal light.
Each one of us can chose our own path in life. At times it may require difficult decisions and actions. A life of liberty and choice is one that we create for ourselves, in friendship with others that share, understand, inspire and encourage our passions.
I find myself longing for connection and rest within nature when I spend long lengths of time in my house. I used to golf a lot more, and in many ways it was about the course. Nowadays I hike, kayak and camp a lot. I live in a more rural setting. Images such as this, helped to inspire the lifestyle I live today.
Animals have been a continous source of inspiration for me throughout my childhood and into the present day. They have come and gone from my Artwork throughout the years.
